Hotel One Madison occupies a redeveloped high-rise building near Madison Square Park in New York City. Often identified with the nearby Flatiron Building, the Madison Square area is now also an area of luxury residential and retail development. The goals of the project are to establish the hotel brand, to develop a program and master plans for the brand, and to design appropriate interiors.

During the first six months of 2015, New York's technology industry generated more than $3.5 billion in venture-capital investment, and Hotel One Madison is tailored for adventurous business travelers, especially professionals from the burgeoning technology sector. The hotel program is designed to meet hotel guests’ various needs, enabling them to enjoy social and adventurous sports activities but also to organize business meetings and corporate events.

The design of the hotel is inspired by a combination of characteristic elements of New York City — water towers, fire escapes, scaffolding, etc. — as well as the luxury design and finishes that are required for sophisticated travelers. Guest rooms feature sculptural elements in rich woods and industrial materials, and finishes in public areas throughout the hotel include wood, steel, copper, brass, marble, fluted glass, etc. Hotel One Madison perfectly demonstrates the vigorous, continuously changing and developing spirit of New York City.
